Woodstock (Joni Mitchell cover)

by Austra

Austra puts a completely different spin on Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock” and the results are incredible. I’ve been listening on loop.

It’s been four years since the movie “Once” came out, and Glen Hansard’s still got it. At first this sounds like a general acoustic cover, but it becomes so fast-paced and emotional. Even though Hansard doesn’t stray too much from his emotive acoustics, the dude can strum a guitar.

It’s so hard to get the harmonies in this song right, and they do. And adding the ukelele just makes it awesome. Julia Nunes is basically my idol.
